something about, news headlines represent what felt like "current topics" to me in the moment, usually written the day of (which can reveal how things seemed back then), and intentionally reflect biases in my news sources—general hearsay/convo topics, friends with algorithms tuned to US politics, stories on instagram, twitter (until their trending tab changed), r/all (until it got overrun by bots), r/UCSD, google feed. intention is to see what actually ends up having long term impact, and what gets forgotten. these are written to add context to what has been going on in the background of my day to day life
