Intense contrast

Exaggerate differences between pixels. Works best if you select a region of similarly coloured pixels. It usually reveals compression artefacts but it may also reveal poorly (eg with a translucent pen texture) smudged out names in screenshots.

This gets the minimum and maximum R, G, and B values in the region and scales each channel up, so one differently coloured pixel can skew results quite a bit.

Method Primitive Each channel of each pixel is scaled such that the darkest colour in the region becomes black and the lightest becomes white (but each channel is independent, so the hue will change). Lightened Like primitive, but a square root function is applied to make differences in dark pixels more obvious by making the pixels lighter. Accentuated Each channel value is multiplied by 7 so that the differences in pixel colours are exaggerated. To prevent lighter colours from being capped at white, mod 255 is applied so they'll just wrap around to black; since this is independent of the other channels, the hue will change. Unique Like accentuated, but the values are multiplied by 50, so each coloured pixel effectively has a unique colour that is very different from a similar one. A chunk of the same colour indicates that all the pixels in that chunk are the exact same.
